A couple ways to do this are first to look at similar sites and see who is advertising there. Then you can approach them.
Also, do a search for businesses that are in your industry that can benefit from your site. Make sure you have enough traffic to make it worth it for them.
The big thing is just asking.
You can use services like Google Adsense, but you will make much more having advertisers pay you directly.
