It can be a really good marketing tool if used properly. But it takes commitment. Consistency and a proper plan of what you want to accomplish is needed.

You have a chance to get info about your company and what you can do for your customers into their hands. It's a great way to educate the market.

It will also help your site ranking in search engines, since they love fresh content. You also have a chance to cover different topics you would like to rank for.

But don't just put crap out there. Make sure it is relevant and really good content. Something your audience not only would want to read but that they will share with others.
