[Advice] What are effective strategies to defeat a low cost, high volume competitor, whose product is lower quality?

Hey guys, just answered a question over on Quora

This question was asked:

"What are effective strategies to defeat a low cost, high volume competitor, whose product is lower quality?"

They key would be to communicate to your market that you have a better quality product. However, this should not be done as an attack on a competitor.

Give your market a reason to do business with you rather than anyone else. What are you doing that is unique from everyone else? Why is your product better? Can you guarantee that your product or service is better?

Identify what makes you unique or your product unique and make sure your market knows it. Whatever it is you identify, no one else in the industry should be able to say it.

Hope that helps,
